To my self. I love my kids but love a bit of silence.

How long to frame?

That is the question I have to ask before too long. There's no point in madly stitching if it takes 2 months to frame (why would it take so long? I don't know, but I don't know how long it actually does take either).

I've been hunting for a suitable quote to attach to it. Something to do with Koalas and weddings. I don't understand why I'm having so much trouble.

Essay

I need to practise. Writing essays does not come easily to me. See? So, I need to practise, with a subject.

Oh for crying out loud! I especially rotated it and it's been rotated again by the too smart for its own good software!

I'm not stressed

I don't have any self imposed deadlines along with the multitude of school deadlines. No, not I.

Bah Humbug

Blew off homework coz I've only got Access 2003 and they changed the file type in 2007 and there is no backward compatability so I can't do that homework at home. English, ah English. How I dread thee. I have to do an Oral Presentation on Friday. I am Not Prepared.

I need a schedule

Being back in school has eaten a great bit chunk of my "sit around and do stuff all" time. There's HOMEWORK! which I blew off tonight to do some more of the Koala. I'm on a deadline people! Shhhh, don't tell me about the homework deadline which is a lot jolly closer than the Koala's.

I'm now worried that the colour I selected to be medium beaver grey is looking a little green.

This is a koala on a branch, yes it is.

Sorting kit thread is...

Annoying!
You get a bunch of threads and they're all 1 of this colour and 1 of this colour and the colours are 4 shades of grey and 5 shades of green and 3 shades of brown plus 2 shades of off-white. They have handy names like light beaver grey, ecru, fern green, mahogany.
I think I got it right. If I didn't hopefully it looks like I did.
I had to hold off posting this update until I was sure it wasn't linked to google+ since it's going to be a present.

They're finished! Now I just have to work out how to display them so they're one article for the show.
Had to change glues since the first one I used that promised not to soak into the fabric did not keep its promise.

Another late night. Started the evening with relaxing music while hubbie read, then he deserted me to bathe so put bones and castle on and next thing you know all the time is way gone.

It Can Be Done!

Today I stitched a bit while the kids watched Cats and Dogs 2. Mind you I did have the little one leaning on me and trying to "help". I had to stop mid thread since Hubby came home from work.

Christmas

It's been a while since I've done some of these.

Eurovision! SBS style.

I taped the semi-finals and have been stitching away while watching the glorious thing that is Eurovision with the witty repartee of Julia and Sam.
My plan to do one colour at a time didn't work out for these skinny bits I'm doing down the bottom...

After this, I have a plan

So this gigantic humongous tapestry that I got because Hubby thought it would be nice to have something like that on the wall (note to self: never let him choose my projects again) I've decided that I'm going to tackle a different colour each session. That way I might actually feel like I'm making progress. It never looks like much when I compare photos.

Not the usual

I read Epbot and she recently talked about how her mother-in-law doesn't read the gumph the card maker prints and skips that in favour of what the giver has written. So she created a card front and said if we wanted we could use it and do tell how it goes down. I'll find out that last bit tomorrow.

I've decided I quite enjoy making cards. I might have to expand my collection of papers to include other bits to bling up some various occasion cards.

Keeping on

Started a third bookmark for next years mothers day stall at school.

The big one

Put a bit of time into the big project today. Kids were kidnapped by Grandmother so had some uninterrupted time.

I'll MAKE it work!

Watched a bit of "The Voice" while I whipped up another one. Added a bit to the first one as well. To try and make it a bit more seasonal. Edited them to be pretty on the picture taking device before I sent them to the internet.

Gah! Why!?

I finally get around to getting back into it and quckly (as far a a stitching project goes) bang out a bookmark and I want to pretty up the photo for my crowd of followers and the technology fails me!
